1. Smile Designing
Correction of uneven gum margins, excessive gingival display, or uneven teeth alignment. Correction of gums as well as teeth followed by a crown or veneer placement
2. Crown Lengthening Procedures : to increase the height of the tooth crown by cutting the gums or and bone surrounding the tooth. This enables the increased tooth height to receive a full crown. Generally, more height is required for a full ceramic or porcelain fused to metal crowns.
2. Techniques to Increase the width of attached Gingiva
For covering the exposed tooth surface due to gum recession, Patient generally complains of sensitive teeth, difficulty in brushing and unpleasant appearance. FGG, CTG, pedicle grafts, etc can be used to augment the width of attached gingiva; for optimal mainteneance of oral and gingival health.
3. Frenectomy
For removal of high upper labial (frenum) fold between the upper lip and gums, which can cause recession of gums and pocket formation, improper closure of midline diastema following orthodontic treatment, and can interfere with the proper seating of dental prosthesis such as dentures etc.
4. Frenotomy
Relocating the lower frenum.
5.Vestibuloplasty
The increase of depth of the shallow vestibule to enable proper oral hygiene maintenance and before placement of dentures for proper retention.
6. Recession/ Root Coverage procedures
To cover the exposed root surfaces folowing gingival recession for esthetics, prevention of root caries, treatment of dentinal hypersensitivity etc. It can be single or multiple recession defects. Techniques inc;ude Free Gingival graft, Connective tissue graft, Platelet Rich Fibrin, Pedicle grafts, Coronall advanced flaps,Tissue engineered substitutes, Tunneling technique, etc.
